The Government of Tamil Nadu on July 11, 2024, issued the Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Amendment Act, 2024 to further amend the Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1961.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1961, in clause (14), —
o in sub-clause (i), for the expression “minor sons and unmarried daughters,”, the expression “minor children”, shall be substituted;
o in sub-clause (ii), for the expression “minor grandsons and unmarried grand-daughters”, the expression “minor grand-children” shall be substituted.
It shall come into force at once.
