The Government of Chandigarh on July 05, 2024, issued the notification regarding the Opening of Shops 24×7 in Chandigarh.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Teams of six Labour Inspectors and supporting staff have been formed to facilitate and raise awareness among interested shopkeepers and traders.

• Any exemption would be canceled if there is a violation of the terms and conditions by the shops, after providing an opportunity for a hearing by the Competent Authority.
