The Government of Tamil Nadu on July 05, 2024, issued the Tamil Nadu State Commission for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Amendment) Act, 2024 to further amend the Tamil Nadu State Commission for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act, 2021.
The following amendments have been stated:
In section 4 of the Tamil Nadu State Commission for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act, 2021, in the first proviso to sub-section (1), for the expression “seventy years”, the expression “seventy-five years” shall be substituted.
It shall come into force at once.
