The Multi Commodity Exchange Clearing Corporation Limited (MCXCCL) on July 16, 2024, notified regarding the Quality Control Order, 2023.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that Quality Control Orders (QCOs) shall come into force from December 01, 2024.
• It states that the existing goods stored in MCXCCL-accredited warehouses and not bearing the requisite standard mark under license from BIS shall become non-deliverable on Aluminium and Copper contracts expiring post-December 01, 2024.
• It states that at the time of depositing stock at warehouses under the updated commodity deposit procedure, the following must be ensured/submitted:
o goods bearing the Standard Mark with a BIS license,
o submission of the producer's BIS license copy, and
o verification of its authenticity by the warehouse
