The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) on July 16, 2024, issued a notification regarding the Integrated Services from NIC-IRP e-invoice-1 and e-invoice-2 Portals.
It is to inform that NIC will release integrated services from the e-invoice-1 and e-invoice-2 portals on July 18, 2024, on the sandbox portals and on 1st August 2024 on the production portals. These portals will run in parallel, allowing seamless inter-operations.
The key features of the portals are:
•Both portals (NIC-IRP 1 & 2) offer web and API modes for e-invoice services.
•Taxpayers can use the same login credentials for both e-invoice-1 and e-invoice-2 portals.
•The same token can be used for API services related to both e-invoices and e-waybills on both portals.
•The e-invoice-2 portal can be used during technical issues with the main e-invoice portal or other emergencies.
•Cross-functional operations such as printing, downloading, and cancelling e-invoices can be done interchangeably between portal 1 and portal 2.
•If e-invoice-1 is non-operational due to technical reasons, e-invoice-2 can be used for all e-invoice services.
•Visit the sandbox portal (einv-apisandbox.nic.in) for API URLs and other details.
•Test all APIs in the sandbox environment before rolling them out in the production environment.
•In addition to NIC-IRP, four other e-invoice portals (IRP-3, IRP-4, IRP-5, and IRP-6) are available for taxpayers, offering similar e-invoicing services.
