Commercial ComplianceThe Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on June 26, 2024, notified the date of establishment and withdrawal of the Indian Standards related to Corrosion Tests in Artificial Atmospheres — Salt Spray Tests.

In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Dates of Establishment shall be June 25, 2024, -

• IS 5528: 2024 ISO 9227: 2022 Corrosion Tests in Artificial Atmospheres — Salt Spray Tests (Second Revision).

In the following Indian Standards particulars, the Date of Withdrawal shall be December 25, 2024: -

• IS 5528 - 1985 Method of Testing Corrosion Resistance of Electroplated and Anodized Aluminium Coating by Copper Accelerated Acetic Acid Salt Spray (CASS) Test (First Revision).

• IS 6910 - 1985 Method of Testing Corrosion Resistance of Electroplated and Anodized Aluminium Coatings by Acetic Acid Salt Spray Test (First Revision).

• IS 9844: 1981 Methods of Testing Corrosion Resistance of Electroplated and Anodized Aluminium Coatings by Neutral Salt Spray Test. 

• IS 11864 - 1986 Recommended Construction Practice of Apparatus for Spray Cabinet for Various Salt Spray Tests
