The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) on July 15, 2024, notified the Bolts, Nuts and Fasteners (Quality Control) Order, 2024 in supersession of the Bolts, Nuts and Fasteners (Quality Control) Order, 2023.
The following has been stated: -
•Rule 2 specifies the compulsory use of Standard Mark.
•Rule 3 is about the certification and enforcement authority the Bureau shall be the certifying and enforcing authority for the goods or articles specified under this Order.
•Rule 4 specifies the penalty for contravention.
It shall come into force on July 17, 2024.
