The Ministry of Power (MoP) on July 18, 2024, issued amendments to an older notification no. S.O. 2528(E), dated August 08, 2017, related to the energy consumption standards for star-labeled room air conditioners of the vapour compression type for household use up to a rated cooling capacity of 9000 kcal/hour.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In paragraph 3, which states “Star level or star rating plan”:
o In sub-paragraph (1), in Table 3.1(f) and Table 3.2(f), for the words, figures and letters “July 01, 2022, to December 31, 2024”, the words, figures and letters “From July 01, 2022, to December 31, 2025” shall be substituted.
o In sub-paragraph (1):
o In Table 3.1, the following serial number and entries shall be inserted as specified in the Table.
o In Table 3.2, the following serial number and entries shall be inserted as specified in the Table.
