The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on July 19, 2024, notified regarding the Implementation of TLS 1.3 Protocol Encryption for BOLT Pro TWS - Pre-requisite Mandatory update of Windows 11 and above Operating System.
The following has been stated:
• It has been informed that it is proposed to implement encryption over the wire using the TLS 1.3 Protocol on the BOLT Pro communication channel with Exchange as per regulatory guidelines. To support this, a new mandatory version of the BOLT Pro TWS application shall be made available for trading with effect from Monday, August 05, 2024.
• It has been stated that all users of the BOLT Pro TWS application are hereby informed to compulsory upgrade the existing Operating System to Windows 11 on or before August 05, 2024. This would ensure hassle-free and a secure trading platform.
• It has strongly recommended to have Windows 11 as a supported version, however members currently using the Operating System Windows 10 (Licensed copy) having .NET framework 4.5.2 will also be compatible with the new version of BOLT Pro with TLS 1.3 encryption. All Windows versions lower than the above-mentioned version number will not be compatible with TLS 1.3 encryption.
