CBIC issued amendment to notification regarding the manner of issue of duty credit for goods exported under the RoDTEP Scheme

Finance & Taxation ComplianceThe Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on July 19, 2024, issued the amendment to notification no. 24/2023- Customs (N.T.), dated April 01, 2023, regarding the manner of issue of duty credit for goods exported under the RoDTEP Scheme under Foreign Trade Policy, 2023.

The following amendment has been stated namely: -

• In clause 2, in sub-clause (1) in item (b), after the words “Export Oriented Unit”, the words “or unit in Special Economic Zone” shall be inserted.

• In clause 2, in sub-clause (1) after item (d), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely: - “Provided that in case of export of goods manufactured by or exported by a unit in Special Economic Zone, the shipping bill or bill of export shall be presented on or after 1st day of July, 2024.”.
