The Department of School Education, Assam on July 16, 2024, issued the Assam Elementary Education (Provincialisation) (4th Amendment) Rules, 2024 to further amend the Assam Elementary Education (Provinicialization) Rules, 1977.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Rule 2 which states “Definitions” the following new clause shall be inserted, namely: -
"(xii a) 'Special Recruitment Drive' means such drive the Government may undertake to recruit regular teacher from the existing. contractual or State Pool teachers under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Assam."
• In the principal Rules, in rule 3 which states “Method of recruitment” the following new sub-rule (x) shall be inserted, namely: -
"The Government may in special circumstances recruit experienced teachers by special recruitment drive to recruit regular teacher in appropriate cadre from the existing contractual teachers and state pool teachers working under Samagra Shiksha”
They shall come into force on July 16, 2024
