The National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on July 23, 2024, notified regarding the facility of voluntary freezing/blocking of trading accounts by clients.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It is in reference to SEBI Circular No. SEBI/HO/MIRSD/POD-1/P/CIR/2024/4 dated January 12, 2024, on "Ease of Doing Investments by Investors - Facility of voluntary freezing/blocking of Trading Accounts by Clients” and Exchange Circular No. NCDEX/COMPLIANCE-025/2024 dated April 09, 2024, on "Framework for Trading Members to provide the facility of voluntary freezing/blocking the online access of the trading account to their clients".
• The Exchange has made necessary provisions in the NCFE portal to submit the status of compliance by the trading members and the procedure for submission of the same has been explained in the user manual attached in the document as Annexure A.
• The members shall submit the aforesaid details through the NCFE portal of the Exchange in the module: Compliance → Voluntary Freezing/Blocking.
• The trading members shall submit the compliance by July 31, 2024.
