The Government of Kerala on July 25, 2024, issued the notification regarding the discount on building permit fees.
The following has been stated namely: -
• 60% discount is permitted on building permit fees
• In gram panchayats, the permit fee for houses are namely: -
o Between 81 and 150 square meters will be reduced from Rs. 50 to Rs. 25 per square meter.
o The rate in municipalities will be reduced from Rs.70 to Rs.35
o The rate in corporations will be reduced from Rs.100 to Rs.40.
• The fee for houses between 151 and 300 square meters are namely: -
o In Panchayats it will be reduced from Rs 100 to Rs 50 per square meter
o In municipalities it is reduced from Rs 120 to Rs 60 per square meter
o In corporations it is reduced from Rs 150 to Rs 70 per square meter.
The new rates will be effective from August 01, 2024.
