The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW) on July 23, 2024, issued the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (Tenth Amendment) Order, 2024, to further amend the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003.
The following amendment has been stated:
• In Schedule-VI, which states “List of plants/plant materials permitted import with additional declarations and special conditions”, Against serial no 788 relating to Sechium edule (Chayote) and entries in column (3) whole plant for consumption, the existing entries in column (4) shall be numbered as (i) thereof and after, the following entries in column (4), (5) and (6) shall respectively be inserted as specified in the Table.
This notification will come into force from July 23, 2024.
