The Government of Kerala on July 20, 2024, issued instructions regarding the prevention of the spread of Nipah Disease.
The following has been stated:
• Congregation of public should be avoided as much as possible.
• Masks must be worn by the public when going out, traveling and other gatherings.
• School students and teachers must wear masks during school working hours.
• Gatherings should be minimized and social distancing should be maintained during weddings/deaths/other celebrations as well.
• Do not self-medicate when experiencing symptoms such as fever and seek advice from a registered medical practitioner.
