Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Andhra Pradesh on July 25, 2024, issued amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Medical Colleges (Admission into P.G. Medical Courses) Rules, 1997.

The following has been stated:

• For sub-rule 2 of Rule 3, which states “Reservations”, except the existing items (i) to (vi) under NOTE thereon, the following shall be substituted, namely:

Out of 50% of seats in State Govt. Quota, 15% of clinical seats in General Medicine, General Surgery, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Anesthesia and Emergency Medicine specialities and 30% in nonclinical speciality seats shall be allocated to in-service candidates serving in Govt. Health Institutions in the State of Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2024-2025.

From the academic year 2025-2026 on-wards, speciality wise requirements will be notified by the Government to the University on an annual basis, subject to a maximum of 15% seats in Clinical and 30% seats in non-clinical specialties out of 50% of seats in State Government Quota.
