The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MoHI) on July 26, 2024, issued a notification regarding the modification of the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme -2024.
The following has been stated: -
•In partial modification of the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme -2024 which was notified by the Ministry of Heavy Industries vide S.O.1334(E) dated March 13, 2024, the following amendments are made with effect from July 29, 2024.
•Paragraph 4 shall be read as follows: The Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme-2024, with an outlay of Rs.778 crores, is proposed to be implemented over 6 months, w.e.f. April 01, 2024, till September 30, 2024, for faster adoption of electric two-wheelers (e-2W) and three-wheelers (e-3W) to provide further impetus to the green mobility and development of electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing eco-system in the country.
•In paragraph 10, the revised scheme outlay shall be read as Rs.778 crores.
•In paragraph 19, the outlay for the Administration of the Scheme including IEC shall be read as Rs.8.35 crore.
