Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) on July 28, 2024, issued an advisory for Biometric-Based Aadhaar Authentication and Document Verification for GST Registration Applicants of Uttarakhand.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that GSTN rolled out new functionality in Uttarakhand for biometric-based Aadhaar authentication, which includes document verification and appointment booking, allowing applicants to receive verification links via email after submitting Form GST REG-01.
• It states that the biometric authentication and document verification shall be done at the GST Suvidha Kendra (GSK), for all the required individuals as per the GST application Form REG-01.
