Secretarial ComplianceThe Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) on July 31, 2024, issued a circular regarding the commencement of trading in Copper November 2024 Option Contract with Copper (2500 Kilograms) Futures (Compulsory delivery) as underlying.

The following has been stated: -

•In terms of the provisions of the Rules, Bye-Laws, and Business Rules of the Exchange, the Members of the Exchange are now notified as under Copper Option 20 November 2024 contract will be available for trading with effect from Thursday, August 01, 2024, and the Option Contract Expiry Date is November 20, 2024.

•The contract specifications, trading parameters, devolvement, and settlement procedure of the contract as specified in circular no. MCX/TRD/875/2023 dated December 14, 2023, issued by the Exchange, shall be binding on all the Members of the Exchange and constituents trading through them. Further, it may be noted that, for all the applicable margins, the Members are requested to refer to the latest circulars issued by Multi Commodity Exchange Clearing Corporation Limited (MCXCCL) from time to time.
