Commercial ComplianceThe Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) on July 25, 2024, issued the notification regarding the BIS standards on Helmet.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Any helmet manufactured or sold without having certification under IS 4151: 2015 is a clear violation and an offence under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016

• The manufacturers who have licence with BIS to manufacture Helmets under IS 4151: 2015 can be verified on the BIS Care App
