Finance & Taxation Compliance The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on July 23, 2024, notified regarding an amendment in the older notification related to exemption of gold, silver and platinum imported under specified schemes.

The following has been stated namely: -

• In the Notification No. 57/2000-Customs, dated May 08, 2000, related to exemption of gold, silver and platinum imported under specified schemes, in the TABLE, against Sl. No. 1, in Column (4), for “9.35%” wherever it occurs, “4.35%” shall be substituted.

• This shall come into force on July 24, 2024.
