The Government of Himachal Pradesh on July 24, 2024, notified regarding the fixation of the maximum wholesale and retail sale profit margin on the commodities.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It is stated that the govt. has fixed the maximum profit margin on the commodities listed in Schedule I (attached below), which dealers in Bilaspur District can charge on wholesale and retail sale transactions.
• It states that dealers engaged in wholesale as well as in retail sale business shall charge only one margin of profit on the transactions, and the wholesale margin shall be allowed at one stage only at one particular station.
• It states that every commission agent/wholesaler in the vegetable market shall issue Form R to every farmer/grower at the time of purchase of fruits and vegetables.
• It states that every commission agent/wholesaler in the vegetable market shall issue Form Q to every retailer showing rates of each fruit and vegetable sold to the retailers.
