The Government of Punjab on July 04, 2024, issued the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets (General) Amendment Rules, 2024, to further amend the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets (General) Rules,1962.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In Section 17 which states about the Licences to dealers, in sub-rule (2), after the first proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted:
"Provided further that in the case of Government purchase agencies notified by the State Government from time to time, the conditions of Know Your Client (KYC) documents and bank guarantee shall not apply."
