The Government of Delhi on July 31, 2024, issued the Delhi Home Guards (Second Amendment), Rules, 2024, to further amend the Delhi Home Guards Rules, 1959.
This shall come into force on July 31, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• In Rule 8 which states about the Term of Office, after the fourteenth proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted:
“Provided also that the tenure of existing Home Guard Volunteers on roll as on 31st July, 2024(and due for discharge between the period 31st July, 2024 to 31st January, 2025) may be extended upto 31st January, 2025 or till the time fresh enrolment takes place, whichever is earlier subject to satisfactory service records, general conduct as Home Guards during the tenure and also subject to physical fitness and age limit as prescribed in the Rules”.
