The Ministry of Labour & Employment, (MoLE) on August 02, 2024, issued a notification regarding the services of industries engaged in the Manufacturing of Alumina and Aluminium and the Mining of Bauxite.
Covered under items 30 and 31, respectively, of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, to be a public utility service for the said Industrial Disputes Act, 1947.
The Central Government hereby extends the period specified in the notification number S.O.422(E), dated February 02, 2024, for a further period of six months from August 04, 2024, during which the services engaged in the said industries to be a public utility service for the said Act.
