The Government of Meghalaya on March 11, 2024, issued a notification regarding Diesel Oil and other internal Combustion Oil.
The Governor of Meghalaya is pleased to modify and revise the rate of tax on Goods specified in the table below and to further specify that the rate of tax and pollution surcharge as indicated below will come into force with effect from March 12 2024.
•Pollution Surcharge under sub- section (2) of Section 3A is Pollution surcharge of 10 (ten) paise per litre for Diesel oil and other internal combustion oils is 5% or 19.00/- (Rupees nine) only per litre whichever is higher.
The rate of tax on items specified at Sl. No 1 of the schedule vide notification No. ERTS (T) 24/2023/12 dated September 22, 2023 remains unchanged.
