Secretarial ComplianceThe Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on July 30, 2024, issued the Securities Contracts (Regulation) (Stock Exchanges and Clearing Corporations) (Third Amendment) Regulations, 2024 to further amend the Securities Contracts (Regulation) (Stock Exchanges and Clearing Corporations) Regulations, 2018.

The following amendments have been stated:

• In regulation 21, sub-regulation (1) shall be substituted with the following sub-regulation, namely,–

“(1) Without prejudice to the provisions of the Act, rules and these regulations, the recognised stock exchange(s) and the recognised clearing corporation(s) shall disclose their shareholding pattern on their respective websites on a quarterly basis as per the requirements and format specified for listed companies in terms of the provisions of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.”

• In regulation 29, in sub-regulation (2), in clause (a), the words “and Core Settlement Guarantee Fund” after the word “Member” and before the words “committee and” shall stand omitted.

• In Schedule I, in Part III of Annexure to Form A, Paragraph 27 shall stand omitted.

They shall come into force from July 30, 2024.
