The Union Territory of Ladakh on July 19, 2024, issued a notification regarding pet dog registration in the office of the Municipal Committee.
The following has been stated: -
•It is notified for the information of the general public of Leh town that pet dog owners within the Municipal Limits of Leh town are required to get their pet dogs registered in the office of the Municipal Committee, Leh by August 15, 2024.
•The non-compliance of this notice by the pet dog owners in Leh town will be penalized by Rs.1000/- and non-registered pet dogs shall not be entertained for vaccination and sterilization at the Veterinary clinics at Skara and Changspa by Animal Husbandry Department, Leh.
