The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) on August 02, 2024, issued a draft notification to amend notification no. S.O. 1533 (E), dated September 14, 2006, related to the requirement of prior Environmental Clearance (EC) for the projects covered in its schedule.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In Appendix-IX- (a) for serial number 6 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be substituted, namely: -
6. Extraction or sourcing or borrowing of ordinary earth for the linear projects subject to the mechanism provided in Appendix XIV.
• After Appendix XIII, the Appendix XIV has been inserted.
The notice is hereby given that the said draft notification shall be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of a period of 60 days from the date on which copies of the Gazette containing this notification are made available to the Public;
Any person interested in making any objections or suggestions on the proposal contained in the draft notification may forward the same in writing for consideration of the Central Government within the period so specified to the Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Indira Paryavaran Bhawan, Jor Bagh Road, Aliganj, New Delhi-110 003, or send it to the e-mail address at [email protected].
