The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on August 05, 2024, issued directions under Section 16(5) of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, regarding the disposal of Used Cooking Oil (UCO).
The following has been stated namely: -
• It is in reference to FSSAI Order No. RCD-18/1/2021-Regulatory-FSSAI-Part(2) dated January 20, 2022, regarding disposal of used cooking oil.
• It is stated that the matter given in the above-mentioned notification shall stand withdrawn with immediate effect.
