Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPS&W) on July 27, 2024, issued a notification regarding the Procedure & Requirements for Pre-Arrival Notification of Security (PANS) to Enter the Indian Port Facilities.

The following has been stated-

•This Directorate has issued various circulars from time to time, to guide vessels entering Indian port facilities in line with the requirements specified under ISPS Code and specifically the Pre-Arrival Notification of Security (PANS). Accordingly, the PANS reporting for respective vessels is in a format prescribed in these circulars.

•The Vessels as specified under para 5 or their Ship Master / Ship Owners / Managers / Operators / Ship Agents are required to submit the information contained as per Annexure - I (for passenger ships, cargo ships & mobile offshore drilling units) and Annexure - II (for yachts) with immediate effect to the relevant regional authorities specified in Table 1 as well as Port Facility Security Officer of the ships' port of call.
