The Government of Ladakh on July 24, 2024, notified the Draft Registration and renewal guidelines for adventure tour operators and adventure activity guidelines & regulations for 13 adventure activities in the UT of Ladakh.
Comments are invited witin the period of 28 days of publication.
The following has been stated-
•To promote and ensure clean, high-quality, safe, eco-friendly and sustainable adventure sports activities by fostering responsible practices, and bringing all bona-fide adventure tour operators in the organized setup.
•There shall be committees & teams with specific functions for the regulated development of the adventure tourism ecosystem in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
•Eligibility criteria as mentioned must be met for registration and renewal of an ATO in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
•Insurance coverage is a crucial requirement for the ATO. This insurance serves as a protective measure for both the tour operators and the participants engaging in adventure activities.
