Secretarial ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange (NSE) on August 06, 2024, notified regarding the Colocation – Colocation as a Service ‘(CaaS)’ facility.

The Exchange has revised its "Colocation as a Service" (CaaS) offering to better facilitate small and medium-sized members who struggle to access colocation facilities. This update includes changes to the rack allotment procedure for CaaS vendors, as specified in recent circulars. Previously, rack requests from CaaS vendors were considered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Under the new system, aimed at supporting new members without existing racks, rack requests from CaaS vendors will now be treated equally with those from new members and will be placed in the second waitlist, with waitlist numbers assigned on a FIFO basis. These changes are effective immediately, and any pending rack requests from CaaS vendors will be included in the second waitlist accordingly.
