The Government of Tripura on August 01, 2024, issued a notification regarding paid holiday on August 08, 2024.
All government offices, magisterial courts, educational institutions, financial institutions, and other establishments within the jurisdiction of the upcoming General Election to Panchayats 2024 will remain closed on August 8, 2024. This closure is to enable voters to exercise their right to vote.
Additionally, August 8, 2024, will be a paid holiday for employees of industrial undertakings, other establishments under the Factories Act, 1948, daily-rated/contingent employees of the Government of Tripura, and workers/employees in any business/trade in Tripura within the jurisdiction of the Panchayat elections. Special Casual Leave will be granted to voters serving in government or industrial establishments outside their constituencies to allow them to cast their vote.
