Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Mines on August 07, 2024, issued Draft Mineral Conservation and Development (Second Amendment) Rules, 2024.

The following has been stated-

•In rule 3, in sub-rule (1), for clause (e), the following shall be substituted, namely:—

"(e) "calibrated lump ore" means the sized iron ore lumps that is obtained after crushing and screening of the run-of-mine ore, which is having size range between 5mm to 40mm and a minimum Fe grade of 60% and above."

•In the said rules, in Schedule-I,in Form Fl, Form G1, Form L and Form M,in the table under the sub-heading 'Grades of minerals to be reported in the above tables are as given below. (If separate grades are not mentioned below, report the mineral name against grade):", in the rows titled "Iron Ore", for item no. (iv) titled "Calibrated Lump Ore (CLO)" and the corresponding entries relating thereto, shall be substituted.

The last date for receipt of the comments and suggestions is September 07, 2024
