The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (MoCAFPD), on August 02, 2024, issued the Consumer Protection (Salary, allowances and conditions of service of President and Members of the State Commission and District Commission) (Amendment) Model Rules, 2024 to further amend the Consumer Protection (Salary, allowances and conditions of service of President and Members of the State Commission and District Commission) Model Rules, 2020
The following has been stated namely: -
• Rule 11 which states “Other conditions of service” the sub-rule (2) has been substituted namely: -
“The President or Member shall not practice before the State Commission or the District Commission, after retirement from the service of that Commission”
This shall come into force on August 02, 2024.
