The Government of Karnataka on August 23, 2024, issued the Draft Karnataka Excise (Excise Duties and Fees) (Fifth Amendment) Rules, 2024 to further amend the Karnataka Excise (Excise Duties and Fees) Rules,1968.
The following has been stated namely: -
• Rule 2-AE sub-rule (3)(v)(b) has been substituted namely: -
“(b) in case of Beer- Rs.300-00 per case of 7.8/7.92/12 bulk litres”
• The Alcohol content and Rate of Duty of the Serial No. 7 under Schedule A which states has “beer” amended.
Objections or suggestions may be addressed to the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Finance Department within 15 days from August 23, 2024.
