The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on August 30, 2024, issued directions regarding the re-operationalization of draft FSS (Health Supplements, Nutraceuticals, Food for Special Dietary Use, Food for Special Medical Purposes and Prebiotic and Probiotic Foods) Regulations, 2022
The following has been stated: -
•With reference to the direction [no. Std/SP-05/T(Nutraceutical-2022) (part-1) -(Part- 1)] dated June 05, 2024, regarding re-operationalization of draft FSS (Health Supplements, Nutraceuticals, Food for Special Dietary Use, Food for Special Medical Purpose and Prebiotic and Probiotic Foods) Regulations, 2022.
•It has been decided to re-operationalise the provisions specified in the direction with effect from July 01, 2024.
