The Ministry of Mines (MoM) on August 28, 2024, issued the Draft Tin Ingot (Quality Control) Order, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• This Order shall apply in relation to Tin Ingot, but shall not apply to goods or article meant for export.
• Tin Ingot shall conform to the corresponding Indian Standard IS 26: 2024 and shall bear the Standard Mark under a license from the Bureau as per Scheme-1 of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018.
