Industry Specific ComplianceThe International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) on August 30, 2024, issued a Consultation paper on the proposed Guidelines on setting up of International Trade Financing Services Platform (‘ITFS’).

The objective of this consultation paper is to seek comments/views/suggestions from the public on the proposed Guidelines on setting up of International Trade Financing Services Platform (‘ITFS’).

The guidelines, inter alia, propose to:

• Specify the list of permissible activities for the ITFS platform.

• Specify the eligibility criteria and process for authorisation for setting up an ITFS platform.

• Lay down the principles of operations of the ITFS platform.

A draft of the Guidelines is placed on the website of the IFSCA at https://ifsca.gov.in/PublicConsultation. The general public and stakeholders are requested to forward their comments/suggestions through e-mail to Mr. Supriyo Bhattacharjee at [email protected] and Ms. Riddhi Bhandari at [email protected] and Mr. T P Samuel Wesly at [email protected]; on or before September 20, 2024, in the attached format. The comments may be provided in MS Word or MS Excel format only.
