The Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (MPERC) on August 30, 2024, issued a notification regarding replacing the existing meters (including stopped/defective/burnt meters) with Smart Pre-payment meters.
The following has been stated: -
•In pursuance to the Commission order dated August 23, 2024, in Petition No. 39/2024 for the replacement of the existing meters (including stopped/defective/burnt meters) with Smart Pre-payment meters, the Commission grants relaxation in the timeline from June 30, 2024, to December 31, 2024, for the areas and consumer categories shown in the Table below.
