The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW) on August 30, 2024, issued the Draft National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions Amendment Rules, 2024 to amend further the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions Rules, 2021.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In rule 3, sub-rule (4) may be inserted, namely: -
"The Part-time Members shall, cease to hold office on attaining the age of seventy years."
• In rule 3 of the said rules, sub-rule (5) may be inserted, namely: -
"In the event of occurrence of vacancy of a member including by reason of death, resignation or removal, the State Government shall nominate another person in his place at the earliest and within three months and the person so nominated shall remain a Member in the Commission only for the remaining term."
• In rule 4 of the said rules, sub-rule (4) may be inserted, namely: -
"The Part-time members shall, cease to hold office on attaining the age of seventy years"
• In rule 4 of the said rules, sub-rule (5) may be inserted, namely: -
"In the event of occurrence of vacancy of a member including by reason of death, resignation or removal, as the case may be the Committee comprising of Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and ex-officio member under sub-clause (ii) of clause (c) of Section 3 of the Act shall appoint another person as Member at the earliest within three months from the date of occurrence of such vacancy and the person so appointed shall remain a member only for the remaining term"
Notice is hereby given that the said draft amendment rules will be taken into consideration after the expiry of a period of thirty days from the date on which copies of the Official Gazette in which this notification is published are made available to the public.

The objections or suggestions which may be received from any person with respect to said draft amendment rules, before the expiry of the period so specified above, will be considered by the Central Government.
