The Government of Maharashtra September 02, 2024, issued a notification regarding the increase in the wage rate of labor services provided for crop harvesting experiments.
The following has been stated: -
•The rates of wages to be paid for the crop harvesting experiments conducted under the Crop Survey Scheme in the state have been fixed. However, there has been a large increase in the rate of labor and crop harvesting under the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme of the Central Government.
•Since there is a need for accuracy in the experiments and labor is not available for crop harvesting experiments as per the existing wage rate, the government approves increasing the wage rate and prescribes the wage rate in line with the daily wage rate of Employment Guarantee Scheme i.e. Rs.297/- per crop harvesting experiment.
