The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), on August 29, 2024, notified the Draft Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Electric Ceiling Type Fans), Amendment Regulations, 2024 to further amend the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Labels of Electric Ceiling Type Fans), Regulations, 2022.
Objections or suggestions may be received from the persons to the draft amendment regulations before the expiry of the period of thirty days specified.
The following has been stated-
•In all the FORMS of the principal regulation, for figures and words “Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Label of Electric Ceiling Type fan) Regulations, 2022” wherever they occurs, the “Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Particulars and Manner of their Display on Label of Electric Ceiling Type fan) Amendment Regulations, 2024” shall be substituted.
•In the said regulations, under item no.4 of Annexure A - IV of Form IV, under the heading “Specimen of the label duly approved by the Bureau to be affixed on the Electric Ceiling Type Fan is shown attached to the document (Separate specimens for family of models is annexed)”, shall be substituted.
•In sub- regulation (1) of regulation 3 after item(j), the k) Electricity Saving/Year (kWh) ; and (l) CO2 Emission Reduction/Year (KgCO2) shall be inserted.
