The Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on August 30, 2024, issued a notification regarding the Harmonization of File Formats Across Depository.
As DPs and back-office vendors are aware, Phase 1 of the harmonization process went live on August 17, 2024. Phase 2 of harmonization, which involves the discontinuation of the remaining files, is set to take effect at the end of day on August 30, 2024. From August 31, 2024, only harmonized files will be permitted for upload, as the common upload and BO upload will no longer be supported.
In response to requests from DPs and back-office vendors, CDSL is pleased to announce that reports for August 31, 2024, can still be downloaded in the old format. DPs are encouraged to download these reports as soon as possible. Starting from September 2, 2024, all reports will be generated and available exclusively in the harmonized format.
