The Government of Maharashtra on September 02, 2024, issued the instructions to create a safe and nurturing environment can be created for the trainees/students undergoing training in the institutions conducting the course.
The following has been stated:
• Uniform should be made compulsory for trainees in all industrial training institutes.
• Handbook should be provided to all entrants taking admission in all industrial training institutes. This handbook should contain detailed information on conduct and behaviour in the industrial training institute, safety rules, rules and regulations of conduct with women trainees.
• The number of girls admitted in the institute is limited. Reason: For every 20 students, 1 female director should be appointed as Local Guardian. The said female director should take preventive measures for the safety of the students through the Principal.
