The Industries, Energy, Labour and Mining Department, Maharashtra on August 30, 2024, issued a notification regarding the revision of the basic minimum rates of wages payable to the employees employed in the scheduled employment that is Employment in any cotton ginning or cotton pressing manufactory.
The following has been stated: -
•After consulting the Advisory Board, state govt. revised, with effect from August 30, 2024, the basic minimum rates of wages payable to the employees employed in the scheduled employment and refixes them, as set out in column (3) of the Schedule given below, as the minimum rates of wages payable to the class of employees mentioned against them in column (2) of the Schedule.
•The average Consumer Price Index Number in respect of eleven Centers in the State of Maharashtra for the working class (New Series 2001=100) shall be the Cost of Living Index Number applicable to the employees employed in the scheduled employment.
