The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on August 26, 2024, issued the Draft Policy Guidelines for Outdoor Advertisement 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It establishes regulations for the removal of illegal hoardings and advertisements in public spaces, ensuring compliance with the Defacement Act.
• It aims to create a mechanism for citizens to lodge complaints about illegal displays while maintaining the confidentiality of complainants.
• It directs municipal authorities to monitor and enforce these regulations effectively.
All the advertisers/stakeholders/citizens are requested to submit their suggestions/objections on or before September 09, 2024, till 3:00 PM, by post at "Office of Suptd. of Licence (Licence dept., 6th floor, Sewerage Operation Building Senapati Bapat Marg, Dadar West, Mumbai, 400028", or email at: [email protected] or [email protected].
