The Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism, Andaman & Nicobar Administration on September 05, 2024, issued a draft Astro Tourism Policy for A&N Islands.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It aims to promote sustainable tourism that benefits local communities while preserving the natural environment, minimizing light pollution, and enhancing the stargazing experience for visitors by offering clear skies and showcasing the region's celestial beauty.
• The draft is open for public comments and suggestions for 30 days, starting from September 5, 2024, submitted to the Directorate of IP&T, Andaman & Nicobar Administration.
