The Government of Himachal Pradesh on August 12, 2024, issued the Draft Online Copying Agency Rules, 2024.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It shall be applicable in all the Record Rooms of the Department of Revenue, Himachal Pradesh.
• Rule 4 states that all persons who are entitled to receive copies as per the relevant rules for the copying agencies shall also be eligible to receive copies from online copying agencies.
• Rule 5 states that applicants shall submit their applications in Annexure-I, either on paper (with details entered by the copying clerk into the online system) or directly online if available, and may indicate urgency in the application form if needed.
• Rule 12 states that the existing Copying Agency Rules for the office of the Financial Commissioner (Revenue and Appeals), Himachal Pradesh, 1993, and Copying Agency (for the offices of Deputy Commissioners in the Himachal Pradesh) Rules 1994, shall remain in force until the state-wide digitization of records is completed, with the repeal date to be notified by the State Government thereafter.
Any objection or suggestions to these draft rules shall be sent to the Financial Commissioner (Revenue) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh on or before September 12, 2024.
